Watertown Daily Times | Council decides to put City Court courtroom in City Hall

 

WATERTOWN — The required new City Court facilities will be going in at City Hall.

City Council members on Wednesday night unanimously agreed to notify the state Office of Court Administration on Friday that the city plans to place the expanded court facilities on the first floor of City Hall and move the city clerk’s and code enforcement offices to the second floor.

On Tuesday, Judge James C. Tormey III, administrative judge for the Fifth Judicial District, made it clear to council members that they had to make immediate plans for the second court room or else.
