A winter weather advisory has been issued for Jefferson, Lewis and Oswego counties beginning early Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Buffalo.
The advisory, which runs from midnight on Thursday through 1 a.m. Friday, predicts lake effect snow for the three counties, with 6 to 13 inches of accumulation possible for Jefferson County, 7 to 10 inches possible for Lewis County and 2 to 5 inches possible for Oswego County.
Travel conditions could be hazardous at times and the storm could impact the morning or evening commute. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
