Charlotte, N.C. — The Syracuse men’s basketball team put the finish touches on its NCAA Tournament resume with an 84-72 loss to Duke on Thursday night.
The Orange split two games at the ACC Tournament, with neither doing much to change Syracuse’s postseason resume. Syracuse added a Quadrant 3 win over Pittsburgh and a Quadrant 1 loss to the Blue Devils, two fairly predictable outcomes.
The result is that the Orange (20-13) has stayed largely where it began the week in NCAA Tournament bracket projections. The Orange remain in the field of 68 teams, according to every prominent national expert, as well as all 119 amateurs projecting the field on the website BracketMatrix.com.
